High maintenance? Not any more

Bike shop Maison du Velo is offering discounted maintenance workshops to Velocity readers.

Experienced mechanic Michael Bush has moved on from the Balfe's workshop featured in Velocity #10, to  a new home at Maison du Velo in Reigate, Surrey. And Bush is offering a 10% discount to Velocity readers enrolling in the mechanic's workshop.

Bush led the, frankly, excellent workshop described in the "High Maintenance" feature in the recent issue, guiding Velocity through the practical (removing casettes, threading gear cables, wrapping bar tape, etc) and the arcane (bushed bearings, exploding rims, graunchy cables and the joys of all-day breakfasts - not what you think).

That took place in the world's oldest continually-operating bike shop, in Sutton, south london; Bush has moved on to Reigate with more space and excellent cake-and-coffee from the shop's own cafe. If you want to tune your wheels and check your bearings, sign up for a workshop on this website. Quote Velocity for your discount.

Here comes the sun...

Our charity partner Club Peloton has launched its summer programme of rides and events for property cyclists, including a tempting tour of Italy.
