Over 4,200m of climbing in 188km of cycling: the toughest day of the 100 Climbs Challenge

The longest day

A massive 4,206m of climbing today in Lancashire, accompanied by local guides Reid and Ryan, taking in Jackson Bridge, Holme Moss, Shibden Wall, Halifax Lane, The Rake, Nick of Pendle and the Trough of Bowlandday. That's almost half an Everest.

"We're so broken, we're not able to make much sense," said James. Not for the feint hearted. "But some beautiful scenery - the Trough of Bowlandday has been an absolute stunner."

A landmark day: 50 of the 100 greatest British climbs completed. And there was time for a little cyclocross, too, as recorded below.

"Thank you for all your donations," said Dom.

Velocity is covering the 100 Climbs Challenge, in which three incredible cyclists (and friends of V) are cycling Britain's greatest climbs: a 5,300km, 29-day ride for charity. Follow the route, find out how to donate and/or ride with the 100 Climbs Challengers here.
